Outing to the Colorado Music Festival: David Krakauer in Concert

Colorado Music Festival, David Krakauer, klezmer, clarinet, concert, CMF chamber orchestra, St. Martin’s Chamber Choir

Internationally renowned klezmer clarinetist David Krakauer returns to Boulder for a performance with the CMF chamber orchestra and the St. Martin’s Chamber Choir.

Krakauer redefines the notion of a concert artist. Known for his mastery of myriad styles including classical chamber music, klezmer music, and avant-garde improvisation, Krakauer lies way beyond "cross-over.” His best-selling classical and klezmer recordings further define his brilliant tone, virtuosity and imagination. The program includes Golijov’s The Dreams and Prayers of Isaac the Blind, the work that put Golijov on the creative map in 1994, and Bruckner’s Requiem in D minor.

A reception will be held immediately after the concert, at the home of Josh and Ellen Taxman, adjacent to Chautauqua Park.

Reservations required by July 16. Tickets available on first-come basis.
