SAVE THE DATE for the JCC Maccabi Games
& ArtsFest 2011!
Don't let the excitement from the Denver
Maccabi Games end. It's time to start thinking about JCC Maccabi Games
2011 in Israel. Imagine Olympic style athletic competition with teens
from around the world followed by a tour around Israel. Celebrate
Shabbat with Israeli families and so much more. If Arts are more your
thing, how about signing up for Maccabi ArtsFest in Israel next summer?
The
JCC Maccabi Games are a weeklong, international, athletic and cultural
event that has been uniting Jewish teens since 1982. It provides Jewish
youth with a supportive environment that fosters mutual respect and
sportsmanship, where they can interact in an atmosphere of fun,
democracy, and peace.
The JCC Maccabi Artsfest is designed to
inspire Jewish teens through a dynamic combination of workshops,
performances, exhibitions, recognition of excellence, community service,
social activities and fun. We are looking for teens interested in
acting/improv, creative writing, dance, digital photography, film and
television production, jazz ensemble, musical theater, rock music,
visual art and vocal music.
The JCC Maccabi Games in Israel will be
held from July 24 – Aug. 5, 2011; the games are open to Jewish teens
between the ages of 14 and 17. From July 24 -29, a traditional JCC
Maccabi Games and Artsfest week will occur; participants will travel
with tour guides and chaperones during the week of July 30 – Aug. 5.
