JCC Maccabi Games Athlete Seeking Nice Jewish Host Family in BOULDER!
During the 2010 Denver JCC Maccabi Games®, August 1-6, 2010

Due to the large number of athletes attending, more Host families are needed. Boulder-area families are now being asked to help host athletes! The best part is, you don't have to drive to Denver every day! We are chartering a bus that will transport the athletes to and from the Games!

It's easier than you think:
· Only one adult in the home must be Jewish
· Neither religious practice nor observance of kashrut is required
· You do not need to have kids in your home to host visiting athletes
· There are only minimal transportation and meal requirements

Schedule
Sunday, August 1: Boulder Host Families pick up athletes at Denver JCC in PM and take them to dinner in Denver. Drop them off at DU for Opening Ceremony at 5:30 pm. Host families can be seated at that time. After Ceremony, bring athletes home to sleep.

Monday - Thursday: August 2-5
Bus from Boulder (Location TBA) leaving 6:30 am and returning 9:30 - 9:45 pm. You are responsible for drop-off and pick-up.

Friday, August 6: Host families drop off athletes in Denver at the Denver JCC. Drop off time will vary and is dependent on the athletes delegation travel plans. Host families will receive these details once athletes are assigned to their homes. We can try to help with carpools Friday AM.

The JCC Maccabi Games are a weeklong, international, athletic and cultural event that has been uniting Jewish teens since 1982. It provides Jewish youth with a supportive environment that fosters mutual respect and sportsmanship, where they can interact in an atmosphere of fun, democracy, and peace.

The JCC Maccabi Artsfest is designed to inspire Jewish teens through a dynamic combination of workshops, performances, exhibitions, recognition of excellence, community service, social activities and fun. We are looking for teens interested in acting/improv, creative writing, dance, digital photography, film and television production, jazz ensemble, musical theater, rock music, visual art and vocal music.

The JCC Maccabi Games in Israel will be held from July 24 – Aug. 5, 2011; the games are open to Jewish teens between the ages of 14 and 17.
