Have you wanted to experiment with watercolor or push your practice into a deeper and more layered and abstract direction? We’ll be letting go, taking risks, and trusting the process. Instructor Alix Christian will introduce you to various water media (water color, water soluble crayons, graphite, and water soluble pencils) using basic drawing techniques to push and pull your imagery and layer content. She will teach with examples and demos to lead you through a fun process for creating colorful, playful imagery, using pattern and color. Bring an open mind, your willingness to learn, and references of what inspires you (photos, magazine pictures, sketchbook, memories, etc.) Join us as we learn the process she uses to make her work and tap into your own inner artist using loose drawing, stencils, tape, and collage with this fun process and experimental method of painting, patterning, and drawing. Includes $40 supply fee. If you've previously taken this class and wish to continue there is no supply fee.
