Program description:

Ilana will share findings from Beyond the Count, the latest research commissioned by the Jews of Color Initiative. This was a national study to dig deeper into collective experiences and perspectives of Jews of Color such as experiences of community building, racial discrimination, and Jewish identity. The Count Me In study was conducted by a multi-racial research team at Stanford University, and the findings will be used to implement change in Jewish communities.

Earlier this year, more than 1,000 Jews of Color (JoCs) completed the “Count Me In” Survey. Now, you can join the conversation to hear the findings and learn how we can develop, amplify, and sustain Jewish communities and leaders that reflect and represent all Jews.

  • How do JoCs think about Jewish identity?
  • What have been the experiences of JoCs in Jewish communities?
  • How has systemic racism affected JoCs in Jewish spaces?
  • How can the Jewish community better reflect the range of experiences and identities of all Jews?

We’ll dive into these and other questions.
