How do I apply for Cherryvale Day Camp summer sessions?

Complete an application form through CampInTouch. Enrollment confirmations will be sent on a rolling basis. Please note: full payment is due at the time of registration. If you are interested in financial assistance, payment plans, or have any further questions about this please contact Julia Paeglis at julia.paeglis@boulderjcc.org.

Do you offer financial assistance?

The Boulder JCC has a need-based scholarship program which you may apply for by completing a scholarship application in addition to filling out your camper application. This process is done confidentially. Please do not hesitate to apply. We do our best to meet the needs of all our families.  The application is due by March 1, 2024. Applications received after March 1, 2023 will be considered on a rolling basis.  If you have scholarship questions or would like to apply for scholarship, please contact Julia Paeglis at julia.paeglis@boulderjcc.org.

What are the programs, dates, and rates for Cherryvale Day Camp Summer 2025?

Please view our dates and rates page for more information on our Summer 2025 programs

We’re still waiting to solidify plans for the summer. Does Cherryvale Camp fill up quickly?

Our programs have limited capacity. We filled up and had waitlists last summer. Our website will be updated regularly to reflect sessions that are full. Plans change all the time.  Families should go through the registration to be placed on the waitlist and we will be in touch if a spot opens up..

What is your refund policy if I need to make a change to my schedule or cancel a session of camp?

If the Boulder JCC cancels a camp, a full refund will be granted unless the camp participant transfers that balance to another camp program.

Registration cancellations or changes to the camp schedule by parents/guardians prior to May 1, 2024 will result in a full refund, less a $50 administrative fee. Later cancellations or changes up until June 3 will result in a full refund, less a $125 administrative fee. However, no refunds will be granted for cancellations or changes made after June 3, 2024 unless we can fill your spot from the waitlist, then it will result in a full refund less a $250 administrative fee. Cancellations requests must be submitted in writing via email to a member of the Camp Leadership Team.

Campers on the waiting list for a camp program will not be charged.

Does my family need to identify as Jewish to attend any of the Cherryvale Day Camp?

No. Families and children of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome. We will celebrate Shabbat (the Sabbath) on Fridays and Havdalah (a ritual that marks the end of the Sabbath and the start of a new week) on Mondays. We celebrate with campwide song sessions and make challah (bread for the sabbath) on Fridays. We place an emphasis in our programming on the universal values of community, joy, care, respect, growth, and generosity.

Do I need to be a member of the Boulder JCC to attend Cherryvale Day Camp?

No. The Boulder JCC does not have a membership program and all are welcome at our Camp programs.

Is Cherryvale Day Camp a licensed program?

Yes. We are licensed by the State of Colorado Department of Human Services. We also follow all health guidelines as prescribed by the Boulder County Department of Health.

Can I sign up for just one week of the two-week session?

Maybe. It depends on the bunks and if we have space in the session. Our bunks have a limited capacity so we prioritize campers who can stay for the full two weeks. Contact our Director, Julia Paeglis at julia.paeglis@boulderjcc.org, if you are interested in signing up for only one week of our two-week sessions.

This only applies to our traditional Cherryvale Day Camp program & Kinder Crew and not our speciality camps: Milk and Honey Farm, Jr. Scientist Camp, Get Crafty Camp, and EcoAdventures. These programs require our participants to join us for the full two weeks.

I noticed the Musical Camps are only one week but I would like to send my child for both weeks during the session. Is that possible?

Yes. We will make sure to have space for any camper who is in the musical for the other week of that session in our Cherryvale Day Camp program. Email Julia Paeglis, julia.paeglis@boulderjcc.org , if you would like to enroll for the 2nd week.

Is there a limit to how many sessions I can sign up for?

No, and we welcome you to join us for the entire summer. Since space is limited, we encourage you to apply as early as possible for all sessions you are interested in attending.

Do you have any opportunities for me to meet our Camp Leadership team before camp starts?

Yes. We love meeting our camp families and hope you will join us for one (or many!) of our Campfire Meet & Greets:
We meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 12:30 pm MT on zoom. Click here to register for a Campfire Meet and Greet.

Dates for Campfire Meet and Greets:
January 9
February 13

REQUEST INFORMATION ABOUT DAY CAMPS

How do you communicate with parents/guardians throughout the summer?

Before your session begins, you will receive a phone call from someone on our camper care team to check in and answer any questions. This is also the time for you to share information with us about your camper.  It is helpful for us to know what they love doing, how this experience may be new or stressful for your camper, and how things have been going during the school year. You are always welcome to give us a call at 303.998.1900 with any questions.

On the Wednesday before each session you will receive a prep email containing helpful information about the session from what bunk (group) your child is in to a packing list, to any special days or trips happening that session.

Once camp is running, you’ll receive a daily email from us called ‘Cherrymail’. This will contain the day's schedule, what’s coming up tomorrow, and any helpful reminders.

In addition to the emails, you will have the opportunity to opt into our texting system. Any updates such as "our pick up is moving to a rainy day pick up today" will be sent to you via text. We also send out any bunk specific reminders like "tomorrow is sprinkler day, don’t forget your bathing suit!"

What else do I need to know before camp starts?

We send out informational emails each week before the start of camp. In case we don’t address your questions in these emails, give us a call at 303-998-1900. We are happy to help!
