The conversation will be moderated by Scott Peppet, Professor of Law and Wolf-Getches Fellow at the University of Colorado Law School.

Father Patrick Desbois is the Founder and President of Yahad-In Unum, a global humanitarian organization dedicated to identifying and commemorating the sites of Jewish and Roma mass executions in Eastern Europe during World War II and educating about genocide prevention.

Father Desbois is the author of Holocaust by Bullets: A Priest's Journey to Uncover the Truth Behind the Murder of 1.5 Million Jews, winner of the 2008 National Jewish Book Award, In Broad Daylight: The Secret Procedures Behind the Holocaust by Bullets, and The Terrorist Factory: Isis, the Yazidi Genocide, and Exporting Terror. Father Desbois is the Braman Endowed Professor of the Practice of the Forensic Study of the Holocaust at Georgetown University, and he was awarded the Tom Lantos Human Rights Prize in 2017.

Father Desbois has been featured on CBS' 60 Minutes and has fought tirelessly to preserve the memory of those killed by mass violence, including the Holocaust.
