Have you ever wondered about where your chicken comes from? If so this is the presentation for you. Join the Jewish Initiative for Animals’ Kosher Meat and Animal Welfare Specialist, and Boulder’s own, Yadidya Greenberg to discuss respectful kosher poultry raising and slaughter. Attendees will learn all about what makes meat kosher, how chickens live and die in today’s industrial food system and discuss ways in which we can make our modern day animal industry more humane. A special emphasis will be placed on poultry genetics as we ask the question, are we eating GMO chickens without knowing it? Class held at the JCC.
