Date: April 26, 2021
Time: 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm

Join trip leader James Sokol and zoom away to spend a few hours of “April in Paris” with our terrific guide who will lead this series of interesting tours in four different neighborhoods in gorgeous and romantic “the City of Light!” In this series, visit:

Our Paris “Tours” Include:
The Two Islands & Notre Dame (Apr 5)

  • Enjoy the essence of Paris on its two islands: First, the magical Ile St Louis with elegant architecture and aristocratic inhabitants, a favorite with the lost generation of the 1920s who savored its old-world charm. Next, Ile de la Cité, where Paris was first founded and look at the architecture of Notre Dame cathedral and hear the history. Explore the history and architecture of the Island, the old streets, the flower market, quiet gardens, and the poignant memorial to the deported. While admiring Notre Dame, learn about its history, the tragic fire, and new projects.

The Marais (Apr 12)

  • Venture into one of the most unspoiled, historic quarters of Paris. See beautiful architecture, picturesque medieval streets, splendid classical mansions, and the lovely royal square. Touch on some of the local Jewish history, hear stories of royalty, mistresses, and intrigue that took place in this quaint, old neighborhood.

The Medieval Latin Quarter (Apr 19)

  • “Walk” through this atmospheric district to see highlights and hidden details, Roman remains, charming old streets, the story of medieval scholars, and the famous Sorbonne University.

The Village of Montmartre (Apr 26)

  • On this picturesque visit, discover old winding streets, the vineyard, artists' studios (Renoir, Lautrec, Van Gogh) quiet gardens, historic cabarets, the old windmill, Place-du-Tertre with its artists and portrait sketchers, the Sacré Coeur Basilica, and a stunning view over the city.
