Boulder Jewish Teen Initiative

The Boulder Jewish Teen Initiative (BJTI) helps high school students connect with their Jewish peers and explore their identities and relevant topics in a safe and welcoming space. We offer programs for 8th-12th grade students from all affiliations, backgrounds, schools, and Jewish identities in the greater Boulder area.

JCC Teen Farm Camp

Spend two weeks in an interactive teen program at Boulder JCC’s Milk and Honey Farm. This camp is for teens (ages 13-17) who want to learn more about small-scale agriculture, sustainability, and Judaism. Lead instructor Tzuria Malpica will bring her herbal medicine, farming, and education background to lead plant walks, DIY activities, and farm-to-table cooking. Take selfies with goats, care for chickens, and grow your own food. Spend time with old friends and make new ones. Learn about agriculture and sustainability from a Jewish perspective.

Peek into beehives, milk a goat, and learn to grow your own food!

June 21 - July 2 | 9:30 am - 2 pm | $350

NaviG8 for 8th Graders - Currently running Winter/Spring Semester
NaviG8 is a unique program that brings together Jewish 8th graders to make new friends and learn together. We explore topics affecting teens like personal and religious identities, peer pressure, and transitions to high school in a fun and low-pressure environment. NaviG8 is designed to help teens grow into more resilient young adults, informed global citizens, and modern Jews.

NaviG8 will meet in person following the Boulder JCC's Health and Safety Protocols. This program is designed to transition to virtual if necessary.
