The Boulder JCC envisions a community where everyone feels valued, connected, and celebrated. We are a central gathering place for people of all ages and backgrounds that supports the JCC’s values of community, joy, care, respect, growth, and generosity.

The Boulder JCC started as a preschool with just five children, and has expanded to include a beautiful 10-acre campus in East Boulder with over 90 employees (although we’re even bigger if you include all the goats and chickens at Milk and Honey Farm). We offer dynamic and innovative programs, from an early childhood education program to a summer day camp and multiple after-school programs, with year-round arts and culture events for families, adults, and youth. There’s even pickleball!

WHY CHOOSE US?

Just as we exist to serve our community, we want to build long-term relationships with our employees, too. We are who we are because of our staff, and we work hard to maintain a workplace that is rewarding, challenging, and fun.

We provide lots of opportunities for you to develop your skills and achieve your goals, and we’ve built a total compensation program that provides flexibility and balance (see below for more information about our benefits programs).

Last but definitely not least, we celebrate diversity and strive to make a space that is more inclusive and less oppressive to all of people’s many identities – all are welcome here and it’s right on our front door.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We want to work with people who are passionate about community, learning, and connection, so we endeavor to hire people who are similarly hard-working, collaborative, and committed to our mission.

If you get excited about creating welcoming spaces, believe in the dignity and potential of each person, and are curious about the world, we might be a good fit for each other. And no, you don’t have to identify as Jewish to work at the Boulder JCC.

BENEFITS AT A GLANCE

Working at the Boulder JCC is about so much more than your paycheck, but we know that compensation counts, too. The following list of benefits is available to all employees regularly scheduled to work 30 hours a week or more, and many of our benefits are also available to part-time and seasonal employees.

Wages

For every position, we conduct regular research to ensure that we are offering competitive salaries compared to our industry and region.

Paid Time Away From Work

Paid time off is an important benefit which can be used for planned absences like vacations, as well as unplanned absences (we know that everyone gets sick or needs to recharge from time to time). You’ll accrue both vacation and sick leave, and the JCC also observes twelve (12) secular and Jewish holidays each year, including a full week off for Thanksgiving. We also have a generous, paid parental leave benefit, and if you are a faculty member in our Early Childhood Center, you’ll also have a 2-week winter break and a 1-week spring break!

403(b) Retirement Savings Plan

Saving for your future is something we definitely encourage. Every employee – no matter your employment status – is able to start making pre-tax or Roth contributions towards retirement right after you’re hired. We’ll jump-start your savings by matching your contributions (100% of the first 4% you put in), and the match dollars are always 100% vested.

Health Insurance

The JCC pays a significant portion of the premium for your medical and dental coverage, and vision insurance is also available for purchase. If you choose to cover any dependents on these plans, the premium is paid by pre-tax payroll deduction (this saves you money by reducing your taxable income). All of our plans include the HealthiestYou app, providing unlimited, free telehealth for both physical and mental health. And depending which medical plan you choose, you may be eligible to open a Health Savings Account (HSA), with JCC contributions up to $1200 a year (individual) or $1500 a year (employee plus dependents).

Discounts

This may be the best one of all! As an employee of the JCC, you’ll be eligible for substantial tuition discounts in our Early Childhood Center and Cherryvale Day Camp, and we also waive many of our program fees for staff. You’ll also benefit from reciprocal privileges with JCCs across the country when you travel.

Educational Assistance

If you are interested in attending seminars, conferences, or simply taking a course to increase your skills, we may be able to support you.

Additional voluntary plans include:

  • Life Insurance
  • Short- & Long-Term Disability Insurance
  • Accident Insurance
