We’re looking for volunteers to help out at the Milk and Honey Farm!
You'll have the opportunity to dig, weed, plant, and harvest our tzedakah (donation) garden, educational garden beds, and geodesic dome greenhouse. The produce you help grow is donated or used in educational programs and each year we are thrilled to be able to donate over 4,000+ pounds of produce to Boulder County community members experiencing food insecurity - and you help make this happen! You can join us as often as your schedule allows and you just need to register once. This program is for adults 18 years+. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Or please consider our teen volunteering program.
This program is for individuals who are curious about volunteering on the farm on some sort of regular basis. If you have a group who wants a one-off volunteer program, please check out our service learning opportunities. Please reach out to Farm Program Specialist, Talia Brahms, with any questions about the Milk and Honey Farm and/or volunteering.
What expectations are held in place for volunteers?
We ask volunteers to attend Milk and Honey Farm with a desire to dig into a new experience, an openness to learning, and a willingness to work together with other volunteers and our farmers in support of a safe and respectful environment for everyone - including the animals, plants and land we steward. We expect volunteers to come to the farm dressed in a way that is appropriate to the weather and supportive of getting dirty and doing physical work on a farm in a range of temperatures. We also ask that volunteers be aware of their own needs and take breaks for food and water as needed.
Mondays & Thursdays, April - October* | 8 - 11 am | FREE
*No volunteering on 5/26, 9/01, 9/22, and 10/02
