Details
On October 7, 2023, a day of unspeakable tragedy unfolded in Israel, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts and our people. This community commemoration is a space to gather, mourn, and remember the lives lost and the devastation of that day. We will create a sanctuary for our community to find comfort, strength, and connection in shared sorrow. The program will offer opportunities for personal reflection and processing, culminating in a brief ceremony of remembrance.
While the ongoing war will be acknowledged, the focus of the program will be to reflect on the tragedy itself, to grieve together, and to honor the memory of those who were taken from us, including the Hostages kidnapped that day.
Together, we will hold each other, honor the lives lost, and affirm our connection to Israel. In our shared mourning, we will also find resilience and strength as a community.
Presented in partnership by the Boulder JCC, Israeli-American Council (IAC), and Haver: Boulder's Council of Rabbis & Cantors
