Details
From folk remedies to modern research, we’ll explore why and how these ancient wonders have been cherished across cultures for their culinary, medicinal, and even spiritual significance. In this workshop, Farmer Liat Dagan will help you learn the basics of fungi, discover cultural traditions - including Jewish mushroom lore - and find out how to harness their health benefits.
Along the way, we’ll get hands-on with mushroom tasting, log inoculation, and outdoor cultivation techniques that work in gardens of any size - even tiny ones - so you can enjoy easy-peasy mushroom growing at home. Participants will leave with a special at-home kit. No experience needed. Please bring an electric drill if you have one, and dress appropriately for the weather, as part of the workshop will take place outside on the Farm.
Sunday, November 2 | 10 am - 12 pm | $55
