Our Preschool Mixed Media Art class invites young creators to explore colors, textures, and materials in a joyful, hands-on environment. Using age-appropriate tools and a variety of materials, such as paint, tissue paper, clay, natural objects, and more, children engage in open-ended art experiences that spark imagination and curiosity.

Preschoolers build early fine motor skills while also developing confidence, independence, and a sense of creative pride. Each session encourages children to make their own artistic choices, problem-solve in playful ways, and share ideas with friends—helping them grow socially, emotionally, and artistically.

Rooted in Boulder JCC's values, this program fosters kindness, community, and positive self-expression. With an emphasis on process over product, children discover that their ideas matter and that creativity is something to be celebrated every day.
