A six-week class for those curious about the wisdom, culture, and traditions of the Jewish people. This program is designed for adults interested in learning more about a few topics related to Jewish culture, history, and practice. We will use the original texts as sources. All materials will be translated, and no Hebrew knowledge is needed. No prior knowledge is required—just an open mind. No textbook is required, but additional resources will be shared, and all source sheets will be provided. There will be time for socializing and building community.
- Sessions will include:
Session 1: Introduction to Jewish values and ethics
Session 2: Torah and Jewish texts
Session 3: Israel
Session 4: Jewish Calendar and the cycle of Holidays
Session 5: Shabbat
