With anti-semitism on the rise, it’s important to discuss the importance of Jewish heritage and how to celebrate the culture, history, and religious practice and talk about the challenges the community faces in this time of rising anti-semitism around the globe. In Recipe for Change: Standing Up to Anti-Semitism, hosts Idina Menzel, Ilana Glazer, and Moshe Kasher are joined by other Jewish leaders and celebs to discuss their Jewish heritage and its effect on the Jewish communities. Winning an Emmy award for Best Daytime Special, Recipe for Change: Standing Up To Antisemitism celebrates Jewish culture and discusses the rise of antisemitism through the lens of food and conversation.

Nosh Your Way Around the 2024 Boulder Jewish Festival

Food is at the forefront of Jewish tradition and the Boulder Jewish Festival on Sunday, June 9. Many vendors will be spread across Pearl Street Mall between Spruce and Pearl just east of the courthouse. Being able to present a wide variety of foods connected to the Jewish experience is an area around which all cultures can connect. Local Organizations and Artists Featured at the 28th Boulder Jewish Festival

On Sunday, June 9, the 28th Boulder Jewish Festival will occur at the Pearl Street Mall in front of the Court House. The longest-running culture festival in Boulder aims to bring the Jewish Community together and introduce Jewish culture to the larger community. The day will be filled with music, art, food, activities, and more. 

Pearl Street Mall will be covered with community tents to help the community connect with local organizations so you can make new connections or build on ones you may already have. These organizations will create a safe, nonjudgmental space, where the community of all backgrounds can come together and connect.

Boulder Celebrates Yom Ha’atzmaut with Noa, Gil Dor and Ruslan Sirota at Boulder Theater

On Wednesday night, under the beautiful lights of the historic Boulder Theater, the Boulder Jewish Community united together to celebrate Israel’s Independence Day with a special performance from acclaimed Israeli singer-songwriter Achinoam Nini, “Noa”, Gil Dor, and Grammy-winning Pianist Ruslan Sirota. 

Noa continuously spoke about peace and unity, a dialogue seen in her historic participation in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, and at the Boulder Theater last night. She spoke of her life growing up in Israel and America, and what drew her back to Israel when she was 16. Lighting a candle, which was a candle for all the souls, she honored all the lives lost in the war and refused to be blind to anyone’s pain. “For the hostages to come back home and their safety,” Noa stated, “I not only want to hold the light, I not only want to see the light, but I want to be the light for all to come.”
