Details
The Hebrew month of Elul is a time to reflect on where we’ve come from and begin to set intentions for who we are becoming in preparation for the High Holidays. What needs to be released and what qualities do we invite to enhance our lives?
In this series, facilitated by Rabbi Eva Sax-Bolder, we will explore the concept of teshuvah. Teshuvah is a creative act of returning to who we are and imagining new possibilities. Using the Jewish Studio Process, each session will include spiritual grounding, study of related mussar text, art making, self-reflection writing, and optional group sharing. We will have opportunities to express ourselves through painting, drawing, and collage. Bring a journal to write in. All other materials will be provided.
Mussar~ a Jewish spiritual practice of cultivating inner virtues to live our best selves.
Mussart~ combining Jewish Mussar text and art making for personal exploration and growth.
Rabbi Eva is a Creative Facilitator of the Jewish Studio Process. As a spiritual leader and artist, she designs transformative learning and ritual opportunities to provide seekers with joyful and creative approaches to Judaism. R’ Eva retired as the Rabbi of The Shul of NY and currently supervises the Spiritual Direction program for the ALEPH Ordination Program, supporting the spiritual development of the seminary students and faculty.
