Details
Join us in performing a Mitzvah (a good deed) by working together on meaningful projects to support the Be Like Ellie Foundation. Connect with new friends, strengthen relationships, and make a lasting impact in the community. This program is open to everyone—bring a friend and join our multi-generational community in making a difference for others. Snacks will be provided.
This isn’t a night for sitting back, it’s a night for rolling up your sleeves. We will be working on meaningful, hands-on projects that directly benefit two wonderful local causes:
- The Boulder Humane Society: In honor of Ellie’s love for all living things, we will create items to support our local furry friends waiting for their forever homes.
- Knit For Good: We will facilitate activities that provide warmth and comfort to those in need through the power of handmade goods.
This program is hosted by Women of the J, but all are welcome to join in the Mitzvah Making! Children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.
About the Be Like Ellie Foundation
After Ellie tragically passed away at age six, her family founded the Be Like Ellie Foundation to continue her gift of making the world a better place. Through year-round events and community giving activities, the foundation inspires others to transform the world through simple, everyday acts of kindness.
Monday, February 9 | 6:30 - 8 pm | $18 (covers supplies and snacks)
Women of the J Programs are Underwritten in Honor of Marc H. Monheimer by the Mervyn L. Brenner Foundation.
To make our programs accessible to all, we are happy to assist anyone with a financial need. Please contact Julia.Price@boulderjcc.org.
