About the Boulder JCC Venue Space
The Original Vision
A decade ago, we started with a pretty big dream: to build more than just a building. We wanted to create a heartbeat for connection in Boulder. A premiere space where the entire community could show up and feel welcome, regardless of background or beliefs.
While most community centers are built around gyms and fitness memberships, the Boulder JCC took a different approach. Our original team looked at Boulder and saw a real need for high-quality, versatile spaces where people could actually gather. We set out to create a "community center" in its truest form, a place defined not by its fitness programs, but by the shared experiences and memories created within these walls.
Since opening our doors in 2016, our Venue and Events Team has elevated our original vision far beyond expectations, evolving the Boulder JCC into a regional cornerstone where the community gathers to work, grow, and celebrate life’s milestones.
How Far We Have Come
We are so proud to be a home base for the organizations that keep Boulder moving forward. On any given day, you’ll find our halls filled with non-profit galas, board meetings, school district events, and civic gatherings. What really makes our space special is its sheer versatility. Our spaces can be transformed into anything from quiet yoga retreats and karate classes to high-energy basketball leagues and large-scale expos. Our campus has even reached new heights, facilitating both helicopter and hot air balloon landings!
But beyond the formal gatherings, we’re here for personal ones, too. This venue has been the backdrop for life’s biggest milestones—from weddings to heartfelt celebrations of life. Today, the Boulder JCC is a place for everyone. Whether you are hosting a hundred people or a handful, if you’re looking for a place to bring people together, you belong here.
Looking Ahead
We are often asked if you need to be Jewish to join our community or host a celebration here. Our answer, true to the words on our front doors, is that we are a space open to everyone. This commitment to ‘radical hospitality’ is deeply ingrained in our Mission, Vision, and Values.
