HaSifria: Community Library at the Boulder JCC

HaSifria at the Boulder JCC is the primary Jewish educational and informational resource for people in Boulder County, including teachers, students, clergy, communal institutions, and the community at large. The idea for a community Jewish library originated with the Boulder Jewish Educator's Council, a group that represents every congregation and learning institution in Boulder. The council wanted to create a centralized location to foster sharing and learning as a Jewish community for individual Jews, for congregations, and for the organizations that support Jewish life.

Our Collection

HaSifria: Your Community Library at the JCC is Boulder Country's largest collection of Jewish literature, media, and resources. It contains approximately 8,000 catalogued items for readers of all ages, including fiction and nonfiction books, DVDs, and other media.

In addition to the primary collection, the JCC houses a portion of Reb Zalman Schachter-Shalomi’s personal book collection, housed in the Reb Zalman Study. The Reb Zalman Study is designed to provide meaningful space for small group meetings and study, and is available for rental by community members.  Learn more about Reb Zalman.

HaSifria also includes an online home for the Chidush Lesson Plan Library. The Library provides award-winning lessons submitted by Jewish Educators from Boulder, Colorado. Find all Chidush lesson plans HERE.

HaSifria at the Boulder JCC is located on the second floor and is open to the community.
