Details
In this workshop led by Ora Levi, we will be moving away from mass-produced Judaica, creating our own beautiful eco-printed challah cover and bringing local plants to life! As we learn about the botanical eco-printing process, we will collectively harvest flowers known for their natural dye pigments and bring our immediate surroundings to the Shabbat table, just as our ancestors did.
There is absolutely no experience necessary for this workshop. Just come as you are with a desire to be on the land and design your challah cover using flowers from Milk and Honey Farm.
About Studio Ora
Ora has been learning from plants for over three decades and has been working exclusively with plant dyes for over 15 of those years. She is a fiber artist, natural dyer, and the designer of ORA, a small-batch, locally made clothing line where she hand dyes each garment using traditional dye plants, many of which she grows on her land. She brings her passion for botanical dyes, natural fibers and community into all her workshops. Learn more about Studio Ora on her website and socials: @studio_ora
