Details
Discover the meditative art of Sashiko, a traditional Japanese embroidery technique that uses a simple running stitch and beautiful geometric patterns for fabric embellishment and visible mending. In this immersive one-session workshop, you will explore the rich history of this Edo-period craft and master its foundational rhythms alongside both beginners and experienced makers.
Guided by fiber and texture artist Tara Jon Manning, you will cultivate your creative practice in a warm, deeply supportive, and contemplative environment.
No prior experience with Sashiko is needed, though basic familiarity with a needle and thread is preferred. Cancellations must be made 72 hours in advance.
