The Boulder JCC is proud to announce that they received Bridge House’s "Employer of the Year” award at this year’s Graduation Celebration for 2023 - 2024, celebrating trainees who have completed the organization’s Ready to Work Program. Trainees graduate from the program after they gain full-time employment and permanent housing and fulfill program requirements of sobriety and workforce development training.
"The City of Boulder is big on community, and one of the pillars of that community is the Boulder Jewish Community Center. They have long supported our clients with event planning training and employment opportunities and partnered with us in hosting our annual Bridge House Farm to Table fundraiser last year. Our Employment Community Partner of 2025 is Boulder Jewish Community Center," said Alexis Dahl, Ready to Work Employment Specialist.
Executive Director Jonathan Lev received the award on behalf of the Boulder JCC during Ready to Work's graduation ceremony on October 30 in Arvada, where more than 250 trainees, board members, sponsors, community supporters, family members, and friends celebrated the 2023-2024 class of Bridge House Ready to Work Graduates.
Thirty-two graduates in attendance, including the program's milestone 500th, crossed the stage to receive medals and certificates of Ready to Work program completion during the annual graduation ceremony at the Apex Community Center in Arvada. Overall, Ready to Work programs in Aurora and Boulder have resulted in nearly 70 adults graduating from homelessness into independent employment and housing last year.
