The Boulder JCC is blooming with new opportunities for families. This spring launches a diverse lineup of Early Learning and Parenting classes designed to help little ones reach milestones and parents build lasting community connections.
Registration for these programs is officially open! Whether you are navigating the first months of parenthood or looking for a high-energy outlet for your active toddler, here is a guide to what’s coming this season:
Active Play and Outdoors
- Gym Tots (Starts Thursday, April 2): Led by Coach Ashley St. Sauveur, this class is the ultimate indoor play session for toddlers (18–36 months). Using slides, tunnels, and obstacle courses, children build gross motor skills and confidence in a safe, expansive space.
- Babies at Bobolink (Monday, ongoing): Grab your stroller or carrier and head to the Bobolink Trail. This Monday morning walking group for parents and babies (up to 15 months) provides a non-judgmental environment to chat, build friendships, and enjoy the spring air.
Music and Early Language
- Altitunes for Babies (Wednesdays & Thursdays): Hosted by Bella Cox, these music classes use instruments, bubbles, and scarves to stimulate brain development. Thursday and Wednesday sessions are available for babies (4–15 months).
- Altitunes for Toddlers: Hosted by Bella Cox, these music classes use instruments, bubbles, and scarves to stimulate brain development. A dedicated toddler session starts Monday, March 30 to help older kids explore rhythm and creative movement.
- Sing and Sign (Starts Tuesday, March 31): A fantastic way to bridge the communication gap before your baby can speak. This class teaches caregivers and babies how to use American Sign Language (ASL) through songs and play to reduce frustration and encourage early expression.
Connection and Support for Parents
- Baby Time (Starts Thursday, April 2): A dedicated 7-week series for mothers and infants under six months. Each session features a "high/low" check-in and discussions on topics like postpartum mental health, sleep strategies, and feeding.
- Empowered Core Fitness (Starts Tuesday, March 31): Part of the "Parents on the Move" series, this class focuses on reclaiming your physical strength. It’s a core-focused workout designed for parents to move their bodies while connecting with others in a similar stage of life.
- Support Groups: The JCC continues to be a pillar of community support with the Jewish Fertility Foundation Support Group (Wednesday, March 11) and a dedicated Support Group for Single and Divorced Moms (Thursday, February 26), providing safe spaces for sharing and solidarity.
Workshops and Family Fun
- Starting Solids Workshop (Wednesday, March 25): If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the transition to solid foods, this caregiver education workshop offers practical advice on how to introduce foods safely and confidently.
- Story Sprouts (Starts Tuesday, March 31): A perfect blend of literacy and nature, this toddler class brings stories to life through engaging activities and exploration.
